A Girly Girl Room & Blogging...

It's Sunday!! Usually my favorite day of the week.. Church, relaxation, hanging out with my husband. Simply amazing. Sadly, my husband left this morning for two months for military training. AHHH. I swear, if I wasn't so good at being independent, I would go insane with how much my husband is gone because of the military. Such is the life of a military wife, & I can't complain because I am happy he is still in the states & not gone again for 7 months like last time. Before he left, we celebrated my birthday (I will be 23 this upcoming Friday!!) He bought me my new MacBook Pro ((HAPPY DANCE)). Not exactly what I was wanting for my birthday, but due to recent events of all our computers crashing at once & a certain HP computer we have being gone now for 3 weeks at Geek Squad... My hubby did not want me to be without a computer while he was gone. We have been planning to get a Mac now for about a year and a half & now was the perfect time. I have such an amazing husband, gosh.. sappy moment...

Okay. So, like every other time my husband is gone, I plan a thousand huge projects to keep me busy. I already work 40+ hours a week at my job, but I love to always have projects to work on to keep me super busy & make the time fly. One of the projects I have planned is re-doing our bedroom.. I know we just moved into our new house this past June, but I have never been satisfied with how our master bedroom turned out... more on that later. I did a poll on Liz Marie Blog Facebook yesterday to get votes on bedding. I can't decide!! Here are the two choices...

Option Numero uno....

& Option number two....

Both bedding sets are from Pottery Barn (Addicted....) What do you think? I really want a neutral wall color, and a more cozy feel than I have now. Number 1 or 2? hmmm. I really wish I wasn't always so indecisive.

Anyways.. on to the main point of this blog post... I wanted to show you this cute little baby girl's bedroom. A mix of eclectic textures, colors, & accessories makes this baby girl room a perfect retreat for a sweet baby girl...

Isn't this room lovely? Well, Sarah went above & beyond & re-finished an old dresser for a beautiful changing table to replace the one in the picture above...

Love the hardware she chose!!

Dresser Before....

& After...

Hope you all enjoyed this peek into this cute little girls room. Sarah really did an amazing job! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend... I have been planning a major "spring cleaning" on top of all my planned projects, so I plan on tackling some tedious cleaning today to keep me busy.. this may sound awful to some, but I love the satisfaction from a clean house!! What projects are you working on now? Do you have any major spring cleaning projects you are working on? Go over to Liz Marie Blog Facebook to share all your recent DIY projects, I would love to see all your DIY blog posts!!

xx

I like the pop of red in the second set, but the first is beautiful, too. I love pottery barn! That bedroom is so sweet.. I have two boys, so I swoon over girl things. :)

  5. All Pottery Barn bedding is amazing so I completely understand your indecisiveness but I like option #2. I think the coral color adds a bit of warmth. And the macbook was such a great present. Once you get used to it, you will never want to use a PC again. Hope you have a great birthday! (I will be turning 23 as well...a week from Monday :))

  9. Both bedding's are lovely but I think number two is my favorite, that touch of... is that red? Really makes it stand out. And tell your husband thank you for serving our country!

  11. FIrst of all: Great choice on the MacBook Pro ;) You will LOVE it!!!
Second: I totally understand how you plan all these projects for while the hubby is gone. Mine is gone a week then home a week for the entire baseball season so I do the exact same thing. Just seems to make the time go by faster ;)

  17. That second one is really pretty...Either is gorgeous, but that second one really does pop like everyone mentioned. :) My best friend's husband is also military, and I don't know how you wives (and some husbands!) do it! Being at home without your other half must be so difficult...but I agree that we thank you for supporting your military spouse so that they can protect us all!

I understand that turning 23 must be hard...oh wait..I just turned 30!!! It was So hard for me to leave my 20's. I am still not quite feeling like an adult yet, which made it even more difficult. I will trade you ages?! Oh, and hair. I love your hair! LOL

    Happy Birthday to YOU!
