Window After...
What I used...
Like I said before, this wall decal was a gift, but you can find these wall decals nearly everywhere ( i.e. Target, TJ Maxx, exd...) I am not going to lie, the decal was very frustrating to work with, especially on a window, but I love the results!
The Window is very heavy & I was scared to hang it on our walls, so I came up with this idea...
I had this antique trunk in one of our spare bedrooms with blankets inside. Now it serves as an end table for the chair & a great place for my antique door to sit.
I love all the little details on this antique door. It already came with this pale yellow color that I fell in love with. Some more pictures of the new corner of the room...

very cool idea! I love the look of the old window and the decal tops it off!
ReplyDeleteLove that vinyl! Looks really good!
ReplyDeleteLove the tree vinyl on the window. I wanted to leave a tip for you.
ReplyDeleteA little Joy detergent mixed with lots of water. I usually use about 10-12 drops per spray bottle and a squeegee go a long way.
Spray your substrate (this only works for hard substrates obviously) down with the solution. Place the vinly onto the surface and line it up. Once in place squeegee out the excess solution and bubbles.
I love how you dressed up the corner with the window looks great
ReplyDeletei love old windows, this is a great idea. i would love it if you shared this at my party on wednesday.

an addition made perfectly! its yellow color complements with your dark furniture and of course, the decal was...elegant.
ReplyDeleteLove it. Makes a world of difference to that corner. I love old doors, windows and even the chippy paint screens. Great find and wonderful use of it. ~~Sherry~~
ReplyDeleteOooh! this turned out really pretty! Sorry to hear the decal was tough to work with. It looks beautiful with the yellow window & gray walls!
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS GREAT IDEA.
ReplyDeleteI actually thought that there was a plant behind the window. I asked myself, "How'd she do that?" When I scrolled down, I went, "OHHH!" Haha! Anyway, the earlier comments have said it all. It's really inspiring!
