To me, having my husband come home after a 7 month deployment is one of the best days of my life, right up there with my wedding day. So many emotions.. I went from tears, to laughing, to jumping in his arms, to crying again..I can't explain it, all I can say is it is the best feeling in the world.. Everyone knows that Jose is the love of my life, and the best thing that has ever happened to me. We are best friends and soul mates.. He was more than worth the 7 month wait. I would do it for the rest of my life if I had to for him. I wanted to do something special with the pictures that my friend (RachLea Photography) took for me, besides putting them in a photo album. I thought I would share this video I made of the collection of pictures from his homecoming. The song in the video is, "Wait for Me" by Theory of A Deadman, and the words could not be more perfect...
By the way, he never really did pee his pants haha...
But deep in my heart I truly know, you're the one that I love, and I will never let you go."
xx Liz Marie
Awwww... I am sooo happy for you girl!
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine the feelings when you first see him after 7 looong lonely months.
You guys make an adorable couple and the pictures speak more than 1000 words!
I don't have anybody close in the military but I always think of how hard it must be for all the relatives and how thankful we should all be to each and every single one of them.
The video is too cute. I got a teary eye just from watching it.
Enjoy your time together.

ReplyDeleteStopping by from Military Monday bloghop.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fellow marine wife. Beautiful video!!
I just discovered your blog via a feature on Sassy Sites. Thank you for sharing your home coming. Thank you even more for the sacrifices you make as a military wife and please pass along my thanks to your husband for defending our country. Being in the military is one of the most honorable things anyone can do. Being from a family of Army retirees and a current "lifer" Marine, I am aware of the sacrifices families make. Thank you seems so small, but please know that I am truly grateful for men like your husband and for you standing by him.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm late, but I'm a new follower visiting from the Blizzard blog hop. I'm a mil spouse too, and I love finding other mil spouses out there in the blogosphere. Ahhh, there's nothing like homecomings. Loved seeing this post...bringgs back great memories. Nice to meet you!!
