This is Bella.. Nickname "MeMe".. She is four years old now as of {July 2nd}. She was a gift from my husband when we got married & we moved down to NC... He left a week after we got married for a month for military training & he didn't want me to be alone... & for the past four years Bella has been their with me through two seven month deployments & plenty long weeks of training. She actually got spayed this week, so it's been a rough week for this little lady & you can see it on her face in these pictures. Bella loves sleeping, napping, laying on your lap, road trips, kisses, and resting.
Meet Bear. Originally named {Rookie} because of our love for baseball, but I mean look at him.. he's a little teddy bear.. we couldn't resist. About eight months ago Bella had six puppies.. yes, six. & Bear was the third born.. & the second I looked at him, I knew he would be the one we would keep. He now weighs more than his momma, Bella, & can't be away from her for more than five seconds. Bear loves snausages, eating, napping, treats, & running around the couch until he can't breathe anymore.
Ok, so I'm glad you finally met my little furbabies. Yes, they are due for their grooming appointments, but after Bella's rough week with surgery, we postponed that for the time being. This past weekend I was disgusted with my dogs water & food bowls so I decided to spruce them up a little bit. I know, silly, but it was that or buy some new ones.. & I would rather save that money...
Before...
eeew. We had it sitting outside so the puppies would have water while playing in the backyard.
After...
I bribed them with treats to sit like this. They would never stay away from you if you were sitting on the ground like I was.. they would be trying to kiss your face.
With some white paint, and little free hand painting of my puppies names, I made the dog bowls a little less embarrassing to have in my home.
puppies being puppies...
So, I hope you loved meeting Bear & Bella... two of the best dogs in the entire world. I also hope you like my little Before & After of the doggy bowls.. they were in bad shape, now they are kind of cute. I'm sure Bella & Bear will be popping up in many blog posts to come since their curious nature gets them involved in all of m DIY projects...I think at least once a week one of them ends up with paint in their fur. Do you have furbabies that you couldn't imagine living with out? I would love to meet them! Head over to Liz Marie Blog Facebook page & link pictures or blog posts of your furbabies.

Yours are so super cute! I know what you mean about loving them so much. I have two just like you, black and white and tan. At first my hubby wanted a pit, you know the guy thing. But I finally talked him, about 11 years ago into getting our first Julse. Now he loves them just as much as I do. You'll know if he's the one, if he loves your doggies he will be a keeper.

Adorable! Bella looks just like my Dorothy and bear looks like Ladybug, who we lost last winter. Dorothy and Ladybug were raised together in another home and came to us when they were two, but they'd been together since puppyhood.
ReplyDeleteThe puppy bowl makeover looks great.

so cute... what a good idea. it's looks so fresh now!
ReplyDeleteI want to snuggle with them!
ReplyDeleteI have two Shih Tzus also and will never have another kind of dog. So sweet. They have never had an accident in the house. So easy to train. Mine are brother and sister (Ruby and Oliver) and they are inseparable. The only cons is that they chewed shoes as puppies like all dog, Oliver is afraid of storms and we live in Okla. and they aren't as cuddly as I would like. I love them to death but I think they love each other more than me.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented!
ReplyDeleteI want some cuddle time with those two :)
