Coffee Filter Lamp Shade...

... When I told people this past weekend that I was making a lamp shade out of coffee filters, they thought I was crazy, okay okay... Maybe I am a little crazy, but this lamp shade is stinkin' cute...

  Did I mention this lamp makeover was only $1.00(+ Tax). Heck yes!!! Coffee filters from the dollar store. Win. I fell in love with this lamp shade when I was done making it & I couldn't believe it was made out of coffee filters.. even though I made it & burnt my fingers gluing every little coffee filter "flower" on the shade.

{Before}

{During}

After folding the coffee filters in {half} & then in {Thirds} & then in {half} once again.. you get a coffee filter {flower}. Gluing on all 200 took forever... but lucky me was stuck home alone on a Saturday night while tornado's were touching down all around me here in NC.. so this kept my mind off that scary weather going on in my area for a while....

{After}

{How To...}

{1}Fold the Coffee Filter in half
{2} Fold the coffee filter in thirds
{3} Fold the coffee filter in half from bottom to top
{4} The bottom half is what is glued down to the shade so the "flower" stands up

okay. now back to the "I'm crazy" part. So, you know a few weeks ago when I did THIS POST about what bedding was going in our master bedroom. Well.. In the picture above you can see which one I chose, but it's getting returned tomorrow morning. Why?? Because I'm crazy. I had the room painted for the bedding & everything.. & I'm just not happy. So, I ordered another bedding set from Pottery Barn... It's a surprise... & the walls are being repainted. Gosh. This is so like me, and everyone who knows me isn't surprised.. but I just want our master bedroom to be done!! I feel like it's been under construction for  forever now.. but anyways there's my little master bedroom update.. look for the final "Reveal" hopefully soon... don't hold your breath. haha.

The lamp shade looks good in the room now.. but it will look fabulous with the new bedding!

Hope you liked my lamp "coffee filter Lamp Shade" I love it. I'm thinking of making another one for another room in my home. Makes a boring lamp really pop & become art work. O, and what do you think about my bedding "crisis" am I the only indecisive girl on the planet? Find me on Liz Marie Blog Facebook to stay in touch!! Hope you all are having a fabulous week.. Tomorrow is my last day of work for the week.. Long weekend for Easter!!
